The Space
Prairieview Cottage offers a welcoming blend of comfort and simplicity, with an open floor plan and modern farmhouse design that feels both relaxed and refined. From the moment you step inside, the space invites connection — whether gathering for meals, conversation, or quiet evenings together.
The spacious kitchen and dining area is the heart of the cottage, featuring a farmhouse table that expands to seat up to twelve, a large island, and a dedicated coffee bar. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator with a drink dispenser and ice maker, dishwasher, convection oven and range, and microwave. All necessary cookware, utensils, and glassware are provided, along with complimentary coffee for both the traditional coffee maker and Keurig.
Just beyond the kitchen, the cozy living room offers a comfortable place to unwind. Relax on the large sofa or dual reclining loveseat while enjoying a movie on the 55" smart TV, or settle in by the electric fireplace on cooler evenings.
Bedrooms
The two main bedrooms each feature a comfortable queen-size bed, thoughtfully placed bedside charging ports, and spacious closets for easy storage during your stay.
The third bedroom includes two extra-long twin beds designed for adult comfort. These can be arranged separately or combined into a larger bed, providing flexibility for couples, friends, or family members sharing the space.
Bathrooms
The cottage includes two full bathrooms, each featuring spacious walk-in showers with sleek glass double doors. Plush towels are provided to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay for every guest.
Outdoor Living
The outdoor patio is a highlight of Prairieview Cottage and is designed for relaxed evenings and time together outdoors. Gather around the fire pit for cozy nights, enjoy meals at the table beneath the pergola with soft string lights, or use the charcoal grill for easy outdoor cooking. Charcoal and firewood are provided for your convenience.
After dinner, unwind in the hot tub beneath the stars, or simply relax as the quiet sounds of the countryside settle in. A fenced hot tub area provides added privacy and serves as a gentle windbreak. From time to time, you may hear the distant clip-clop of a horse and buggy or a far-off train whistle — subtle reminders of rural life.
Location & Privacy
While Prairieview Cottage is located along a main highway, it is set well back from the road and surrounded by open grain and hay fields, offering a peaceful setting shielded from traffic noise. Guests have access to a small pond and are welcome to enjoy a quiet walk or time by the water.
As evening falls, the natural sounds of insects, bullfrogs, and owls create a calming backdrop beneath wide prairie skies. The owners’ home is located on the property but is separated by a row of trees, allowing guests to enjoy their own private space while still knowing assistance is nearby if needed.
